@chili112

Shishou wouldn't have taken the blame until Loulan told him to own up and get his act together. He was a coward.

@mctyfun531

His inaction led to the downfall of his clan, made his daughters suffer for years, led to his first wife's mistreatment and death.
So I don't see that as love, its pure selfishness and cowardice. He kept choosing the easy path until he couldn't.

@Midorikonokami

He just loved her. But he sacrificed his entire clan because of her. If he'd killed her and kept it internally secret, there would not have been the need to sacrifice his whole dang clan

@elisonholace4033

He's a selfish coward. His inaction because of his "love for shenmei" led to his clan's destruction, his daughters being abused & used for years, his first wife's death and people losing their lives. He only took responsibility because Loulan told him to. And it wound up being pointless since Sgenmei died anyway. Even if she hadn't died, she would've been executed anyway. If even children were on the chopping block, no way was his wife gonna be spared.

@vijaz5559

Shishou is a damn weak, not just as a man, but as a human being. He sacrifice his entire clan for his love for a depraved old flame? Like wth?

@laurenevers8644

Absolutely nothing that man rid was ever good intentioned. Just cowardly ignorance and mindless simping. He would never have taken responsibility until shisui told him to man up. Shenmei relentlessly destroyed countless people's lives, and he just let that monster run wild until everything went down in flames.

@rammieliverson9061

He is the one who made suirei be abused by shenmei

@jessiesargent7212

Happy people see right through this BS.

@davidlewis5312

if that is the case I would argue he was utterly delusional, not because he cared for Shenmei (still true but different issue). But because as the leader of the clan, being complicit with the rebellion, the clan gets it too. If he had been able to correct his own house would be the only way to spare the clan but by the time the battle in the snow starts, that's far too gone.

@ThePurpleMan1

He was a villain. Even though his wife was the mastermind and all... he was the coward who allowed all of this when he could act. He wasn't the main couse, but still played the dark character in someone's story.

@lovelylittledino830

I love how he just laughs and walked off ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ he even did the peace out โœŒ๏ธsign lol ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

@melissaclark1051

He was adopted into the clan and then married to her.

@Zajce

But he let her put lives 9f their clan in danger

@mabelveras

He was a coward the woman did not want him she wanted to be the emperor's woman๐Ÿ˜… he was deluding himself by trying to amend a situation it did not exist. She did not want to be saved from the rear palace it was foolish of him to request her to be let go of the palace after she rejected him the second time she was an utter hypocrite and despicable. Woman as she wanted the honor to be the first and only wife of a man she rejected after she was the emperor's woman and wished to lay with him and bear the next emperor๐Ÿ˜… they were suited for each other and they deserved both their end.

@pjarmicki09

Simp-shu screwed himself over, tho.

@u.chimmagodsfavour2391

This reminds of a certain someone named *Ymir Fritz*, who sacrificed herself for her king

@KingJamoralin

Danm thats deep

@odorupompokorin22

Boo. Thatโ€™s not sacrifice. Thatโ€™s cowardice. What about the Shi clan? The innocent ones that will be at harms way. It like a mother staying in an abusive relationship letting kids get hurt because of some BS loyal

@jgoodloe4986

Toxic woman what did I say? ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿพโ€โ™‚๏ธ

@King_of_Blue-Eyes

He deserved better ๐Ÿ˜ข
