I really appreciate how transparent you are.
It's a breath of fresh air to see such an open and honest video instead of the "Make a $1000 a day with blender today" type of content out there. I really appreciate it, and I think most people feel the same.
Really appreciate the transparency here! Snapshots like this are so useful for other creators
Besides the killer contents, can we all appreciate the EDITS of all Smeaf videos? The humor, the transition, the MEmEs, the sound effects. Each one of them is a masterpiece.
It is funny how, according to a lot of YouTubers, teaching people 3d is more profitable than actually doing 3d.
Haven’t slept for 2 days from stress. This gave me hope. Thanks Smeaf
I really appreciate you posting this - I'm in the same boat, especially as a new dad. Being fortunate and actually having paternity leave has really shown me that I loathe my day job, I just have this overwhelming feeling of how meaningless it is. I really enjoy working in Blender and know that I can make it my full time gig so that not only do I have more time with my family, but, when I am working, I actually enjoy it. I've been taking some cues from your videos already, especially around sound design, and really look forward to learning more. I'm genuinely happy for you to have made it and wish you the best going forward!
The video was very informative, very detailed (without being boring), the edits were very good and the thumbnail is very good too! Amazing content
I'm at the start of my freelance career. I studied 3D for 4 years now and these last year I started working for some clients. It is hard and lot of them underestimate the effort I put in each single work. The first months were terrible, now hopefully I've found a good client. It is a starting point but still not enough. Gonna keep pushing harder and harder and make this the full time jobs I dream. You inspire me so much with your videos and your tips man, thank you 💪
I picked up blender cause I was wanting to get better in Premiere Pro and After Effects again and while watching AE Tutorials I’m so glad I ran into blender. It’s so much fun yet so challenging but that’s why I love it. Keeping an open mind and finding ways on how I can apply this amazing skill with photography and videography. I’m excited to see where Blender will take me. Thanks for the video keep the great work
Like how you say I not to flex but just to have someone who speaks about it , really appreciate
I don’t make money directly from working in Blender, but I’ve been able to find ways to incorporate it into my work to increase the value of the product itself. My brother and I own and operate a recording company that handles anything from record albums, commercial jingles, voice overs, podcasts, etc. Right now we are hosting and producing a podcast for a client (which debuts tomorrow and we’re super excited [❗️]), and part of what we are doing is creating highlight clips to go on social media, and I’ve been using Blender to create audio visualizers for the posts using geometry nodes. It’s been very cool to be able to implement my growing love and passion for Blender into my main work field, when at first I couldn’t see how I could possibly use a 3D Modeling/VFX program in conjunction with all the audio work I do. In the future, I’m hoping to expand it to be able to do VFX in music videos for clients, to really elevate what we’re able to offer in the cool space that we have. I’m definitely not there yet, but even simple background replacement would open up a whole world of possibilities.
My guy really threw in a Zelda Windwaker banger right in the middle of the vid what a legend
I loved how professionally yet unprofessionally this was made! The graphics and movement were gorgeous, but I had to pause and rewind the video at least five times because I was laughing so hard at the memes! (Not that I’m complaining!) Good way to get more watch time and click throughs I guess 😆
the way you lead the viewer into the next video is sooooo good. That's something a lot of channels miss out on but fr I ended up watching you for an hour straight because of that and absolutely love your content. Super informative and engaging. Keep it going bro! I'm new to 3d but loving the journey so far. super excited for what I can create. Thanks a ton and subbed!
Great video man, I am in the exact same boat. 3D artist based in Australia, and thanks to YouTube and Skillshare, I have quite my day job. BUT, It has not come easy, there are many many times I almost gave up, especially at the start, it really takes determination to get traction, so I totally respect what you have done.
You're the reason why people like us who is being started in animation and all doesn't scared by the world aroung! Thank you so much
3D explicit content is where the money is at
You are really honest no other youtuber would ever reveal his own revenue.God bless you
