Battery restoration such as depicted here was a long time service offered at many mechanic & tire repair shops years ago. Main hazards were acid burns and explosive events. Use of personal protective equipment such as goggles, aprons, & chemically resistant gloves was largely absent. Often serious burns and blindings occurred due to workers smoking or open flames in closed spaces igniting released gases.
Good instructional video!

You should have checked the electrolyte levels in each cell to make sure they were all up equally and put a load on the battery to make sure it going to hold up to a cranking starter , a light bulb ain't no load

Here in America. They used to do that, what I know of. I live in Indiana. Remember they called that battery repair or recycle battery. Back then, they sold the refurbished battery you only paid. $16 to $20 us dollars. Then, by a new one, that cost $50 bucks. That would last like a new one. All of that, that you did. Usually if the acid is low. You just add water. And thats it. Just water. You usually get 2 years more. .

Spent time in Bolivia, learned similar. I also learned electric welding with a cord and bucket of water! Great instructions.

I run a used battery service /business' I've used this technique on thousands of batteries and only had a couple of dozen that's failed over the last 12 years and most were due to customers negalince.
This technique is 99.% a sure fix and will last for years saving my customers tens and tens of thousands of dollars since I've been in business.

@CreatorTips.007

Amazing trick! I tried it and it worked like magic. My old battery feels brand new again!

A very interesting idea, maybe even a real one to use an old battery a little longer. But, it just seems to me that the battery still needed to be charged after this? 🤔🙂

شكرا على المعلومة المهمة

@AbdulQadeerKhan-d1w

For people like us, it's a good pastime to watch such vids otherwise, a dead battery never wakes up. Their plates are gone. Yes, you may use it for bulbs etc, not for car

Hello from Bulgaria!

@mwc286

Don't fall for this trick it doesn't work when a battery goes bad the only fix is to buy a new one

@davidhutchinson8839

Back in the 70s we did this on the large semi truck bateries. We used a hydrometer to check specific gravity of the electrolyte as a guide as when to do this service. Batteries lasted forever

@rafaelmendez5595

@Gregory-r5i

You can put white karo syrup on battery terminals and once dried it becomes a solid plastic coating

@namron1066

How do WE know that it didn't just need a charge in the first instance.?

@BenjaminJuarbe

Thank you for this wonderful presentation, now I can recharge my car battery!🎉🎉🎉
