Love her voice. Many, many years ago (1986) I was on a job-related trip to Baguio City and my host invited us to see a concert with Joey Albert. I have never heard her name before that, but fell in love with her voice that night. So I brought home one of her albums and listened to it every day. I'm Indonesian, by the way

I suddenly had the urge to cry listening to her. Back in the days I played her songs while binging on nostalgia and drinking. It wasn’t so painful then because I was so big on pretending. But now that I’m sober, her songs felt different. It cuts me deep inside and at the same time it’s healing.
