When Tanjiro was put into the nightmare where his family blamed him for their deaths, he didn't have to commit su!cide to wake up, the anger and disbelief alone was enough to wake him up. Also I adore that Inosuke's dream is literally to go on fun adventures with his friends and they're all animals like him lol it's so wholesome for him

Rengoku did really well, especially against Akaza, but yeah, he had no chance, Akaza was playing with him until the very end. But still, no casualities when an Upper Rank is showing up, Rengoku is a goat.

No one does not cry over the departure of Rengoku. He is the definition of perfection, strength, gentleness, kindness, justice, and is an important driving force of the story. Because his departure is what made Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu not give up on future fights. Everyone really loves Rengoku Kyojuro.

Some interesting things to notice: The first scene of the movie is happening in the future (right after the events of the fight in the mugen train). Kagaya Ubuyashiki and his wife were visiting Rengoku's grave. But obviously at the time you're not supposed to notice this and is only revealed after we once again saw who's grave he was in front of. Another interesting detail is that despite the fact that the dream demon is supposed to show you in a dream your most desired reality, in Rengoku's dream his father was still an alcoholic and mean to him. Because Rengoku himself is a really nice person and accepts people with all and their flaws. This movie broke records even during the pandemic and it's truly an amazing movie. The events of S2 episode 1 (the episode dedicated to Rengoku) hit way harder with the context of the movie, that's why many watch it after it (I watched it before the movie though). Rengoku is such a great character. I'm really looking forward to see you react to S2. I know you'll love it :)
