My boomer grandpa just went into hospice. He was married to his wife for 50 years before she passed a few years ago. Hes lived in the same house since 1969, raised a garden every year. The most inspiring person ive ever met, i hope i can live up to his legacy. He does everything for his family and community. Im almost 25 and the only cars ive ever driven were hand me downs from him. He didnt charge me anything, just wanted to help. Every dollar that i have ever made was because he gave me free reliable transportation. He never spent his retirement on a fancy vacation house, hes going to die in the house hes lived in since my mother was born. Thank you papaw, you were the best boomer. Ill always love you, and ill always remember the things you did to allow me to be the person i am today. Papaw passed away.

my dad figured out how email works by me teaching him and 6hrs later he was using it to cheat on my mom. he later divorced her and regrets it. after my mom wouldnt take him back he stole her identity and opened 3 credit cards in her name and maxed them out... all i did was show him how to use email.

Boomer mother intentionally fell for a gift card scam. Yes, intentionally. She knew something was up from the start, especially since her sister had fallen for the exact same thing. They were posing as publisher's clearing house saying she won $1.2M and a new Mercedes. As I'm nearly having an aneurysm on the phone with her (after she did it a second time with the same scammer) I'm screaming that it's a scam, tears in my eyes, she says to me "but what if it's not??? have hope!!". I now have full control of her finances, and several more grey hairs. If the jamaican kid who did that is reading this I would like to speak to you in a rural airbnb that has a basement with a drain.

My boomer relative, back in the day, worked part time while in school to be an MRI tech. He was able to, while working part time as an MRI tech assistant, able to purchase a house in a great metropolitan area, buy a large boat, a 70s mustang, and a truck, and pay for school out of pocket……. These people are so entitled now after living lives that we only see in movies now.

My family had 10 acres of worthless land that I was told since birth that it was my inheritance. My grandfather purchased it, and handed it down to my dad. Then all of a sudden they sold it. Bye bye land I grew up going out camping and shooting and hunting on.
