Drew passed away today. I stayed up all night editing this video (crying) because I promised I was going to make it for him. Please donate to his family for the funeral: https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-support-drews-fight-with-stage-4-lung-cancer

Man, that hit like a ton of bricks at the end. You interviewed a lot of nice people, but Drew was my favorite--friendly, funny, and very kind, which is especially admirable given all that he was going through. I'm so sorry for him and his family.
You're an awesome guy, Drew.

@wojurera3131

My condolences to Drew and his family. インタビュー時のお二人の楽しい会話を再度拝見させて頂きました。我々の命の儚さ、そして友情の大事なことをあらためせ感じさせて頂きました。感謝です。
Rest in peace Drew.

The guy with the Kami headband knows life. So cool to see him living his life, Seemingly happy. His answer about growing up poor and being an outcast hit me straight in my soul lol. I imagine him being great at parties

@rocketreindeer

I'm so sorry for your loss. Thanks for all your great work. Thanks for all your support of your friend.

@razor282

I was in Japan a few weeks ago and have never felt so safe. It is clean, safe, quiet, and respectful in every way. And virtually no crime. It’s true you can leave your belongings out, phone, backpack, coat, everything, in a cafe while you leave to use the restroom and have no fear that it will be stolen.
Japan was wonderful. I’d love to live there.

@DawnPerry-px1jh

I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend. I hope your memories of him sustain you through your grief.

@knightridersgal9369

Thank you so much Alyssa for all the support you've given to Drew. From Donor Box to now GoFundMe. Your collaboration streams have literally been the catalyst to send donations his way. I apologize for being so crass, as to diminish this tribute to money. But, it weighed heavily on Drew that he be the only one responsible for his medical bills. Hence all the livestreaming, despite all the pain and exhaustion he suffered because of it. He was absolutely emphatic, that his wife wouldn't be saddled with his bills. I know that he loved you and thought what a great lady you are. I'm truly grateful to both you and TykoSam. I miss Drew terribly, as I know you both do too. God bless you both and thank you again.

Former Japan expat from Michigan here. You are a 1000% class act in supporting Drew. I hope for a future where more Americans represent US abroad like you do. I miss Japan and want to go back every day.

@odietamo9376

What an interesting video. You’re a good interviewer—you ask intelligent questions and then let them answer. (Better than most of what I see on television.) Condolences regarding the loss of your friend, and best of luck to you.

@marcydrake9159

Excellent video with the saddest ending. This was my first time seeing Drew, and his energy was so positive. Send love and strength to all who loved him. ❤
