I thought the added censorship in episode 37/s2 episode 13 was unnecessary when compared to the Bath House chapter from the light novel and manga. The light novels didn't even show that much. And season 2 anime decided to cover up more skin compared to season 1s bath scenes. Which I'm baffled by. The changes to the bath outfits are weird and impractical functionality for an ancient China-like setting. The Apothecary diaries was being pretty accurate and consistent in it's setting, manners, etiquette, epalace politics and even down to the clothing between the different societal hierarchies that is typically seen in ancient China and Korea up until episode 37. I don't get why to break from that consistency up until this point. The show is obviously meant for mature audiences and in season 1 it was rated 16 up. So I'm scratching my head here when even if they had not bothered to add censorship it wouldn't even have amounted to the levels of what one could call fan service. I'm nitpicking because I'm a history buff and I'm just slightly disappointed. Let's just hope the blurays correct this.
