Everyone before de NintendoDirect: hopefully they will announce Nintendo Switch 2 Everyone after de NintendoDirect: nevermind, I love you og NintendoSwitch, you can stay as long as you wish
Metroid Prime 4 Beyond was definitely the highlight for me. I've become a big Metroid fan since 2017 with Samus Returns and Dread, and we've been waiting for Prime 4 since then. I was at the end of my freshman year in high school when MP4 was revealed and now I'm a college graduate when getting this new trailer and its release next year which is insane to think about. You mention it potentially being a Switch 2 only game, but that won't happen. It's confirmed to be a Switch game, especially with this direct not focusing on Switch 2. Though I definitely think it could be a cross-gen game, especially with it releasing next year with no release date right now
Besides the big 4 games shown, I’m ULTRA excited for the Dragon Quest Remakes! I’m a huge fan of the franchise but admittedly I never played the first three and I think this is gonna be a great way to experience them. That game Mio also caught my attention, the combat seems super fluid and fun.
That omniman panel is so funny
🐐 covers 🐐direct, you love to see it
This Dylonic video is worth 228 calories at 3mph on 10 incline
I literally put as a comment on the Metroid Prime 4 trailer that said "Finally it's out of development hell"
How soon people forget about Metroid Prime Remastered. That game looked and ran great, and 4 is bascially on par with it. And let's not forget the old guard at Retro were also wizards with the first three Prime games.
Everyone! Rise up for Nintendo's National Anthem!
Yo where’s the new Mario Pinball Land title? Underrated IP 10/10
I played Stray on PC in pretty much max settings, and i've gotta say that Switch port is very decent, they managed to not drop down to 480p like it's common to see for many UE4+ games designed for stronger hardware. There were at least one or two games that did look ugly but i'd say Stray got away just fine, we know the Switch can churn out tons of polygons and material effects if the game is properly optimised. On the topic of HD2D, i think it makes sense nowadays to bring back old games who's sprites were so well drawn and animated that going 3D would take away their charm, while 3D environments allow all the benefits of dynamic shading, volumes and whatnot, in the end it's basically the direct opposite of 3D prerendered games that defined the Playstation. For instance i'd have preffered Pokemon Mystery Dungeon to keep 2D sprites while making the rest 3D, because the GBA and DS titles had very expressive sprites with diverse animation speeds and patterns, but since the 3DS every character looks like a puppet half-awake. Sprites can't be underrestimated when it comes to expression, a valuable ressource for storytelling, and giving a certain weight to animations.
Absolutely fire direct. Got me wondering if metriod is gonnabe cross gen.
Guess you could say we are getting... A New Super Mario & Luigi game
BEST DIRECT OAT
This was a really, really good Direct. But it was also fitting for the end of the console's lifecycle. Zelda...but 2D. Haven't gotten a new one in a while, haven't had a quality Zelda where Zelda is the protagonist, it can be quality without all of the physics and complications of a 3D title, and it can be enjoyed by a ton of people who got into Zelda from BotW/TotK. Metroid Prime 4? Probably coming out on Switch 2 as well. But finally seeing gameplay for such a long-awaited game was a great finish. Starting with Mario & Luigi? Again, very much desired, long time coming, probably not as hard to put together, riding the Mario RPG high of TTYD and Super Mario RPG. Easy $60 sale. And it was filled with some good niche games. A lot of people don't have a gaming PC or Sony/Microsoft console. A game like Stray would appeal to a ton of cat-lovers like me, even if it doesn't look as good.
Bro Fairy Tail 2 actually looks good for an anime game from koei tecmo. If it looks trash, that probably cause the artstyle doesn't jive with you. But hey, that's your opinion, and I can agree with you to a degree cause the first fairy tail game didn't look good on the switch. Luckily, just like the last one, Fairy Tail 2 will be multi plat, and I'll pick it up for ps5
It was good allso because it was the first direct of the year...
Mario party is not for me... because the n64 gave me war wounds and pts....
