Ha! Did that! From my mom and dads! I clipped one and stuck it in the ground and it’s now a tree

@cathyvarner3815

I took a cutting from my lilac and didn't know this... I put it directly in a pot no rooting hormone or anything... two years later it is growing like crazy... go figure... I'm 76 and I have never seen anything grow like this... JUST TRY IT

@LisadeKramer

I learned this when I worked for a nursery. You did a nice tutorial. I need to do this as I want more lilacs in my yard. Have a blessed day.

@lemonfox

Our lilacs are over 40 years old! This was super helpful and hopefully ill be able to do this with ours! :) Thank you!

@melaniez3715

I'm so grateful for your sweet instruction. I have a few small potted lilacs, taken from my childhood home, that are "surviving." I wanted to grow more, in case I lost some. Now I know how to try. :)

@libertyvilleguy2903

Great instruction, thank you. Concise and straightforward.

@lindazagara6991

I just found your channel, and I love how well you explained the correct way to propagate lilacs. Thanks you very much! ❤

@KathyBush-y2n

You are such a good teacher! Your enthusiasm is contagious!

@beritnordtug

Can make your own rooting solution by cutting salix into small, 2-3 cm pieces. Put them in a jar, 1 liter size, pour hot water over. Let stay the night over. The next day, toss the cuttings and save the salix water. Put the cuttings you want to propogate into the salix water and let stay for a day or so. Put the cuttings in soil the next day.
