Hi from Canada. I found it particularly depressing that the bill was to be signed by Trump on July 4. On the day when Americans are to be celebrating their nation the president will sign a bill into law that will ruin the lives of so many. A sad symbolism.

I grew up in rural America. When I was 14, my arm was cut by a chainsaw. The nearest hospital was over 20 minutes away and was in a small town. If this had happened in 2025 and that hospital closed due to Medicaid cuts, I don’t know if I’d have an arm. Or even worse, I could have bled out on the way to a different hospital. This legislation is dangerous and will cost lives, especially those who live in rural America like I did.

I had to cancel my last appointment because our clinic doesn't want you in if you owe them money. I owed $105 and my social security wasn't going to be deposited in my account for another week. I can't wait until my house sells so I can move to another country. As a retiree living on social security, I can't afford to live in the US. My family had been here since the 1600's.

I’m a nurse and my hospital system ‘magically’ put a hiring freeze and has ‘asked’ nurses to retire early as of last week, before the bill even passed.
