There's an easy way to see your position with  a view of in front of the bumper and 2 ft beside the front wheel. It cost about $20 and a hell of a lot cheaper than the insurance. I've used it for 35 years.

Its called a chicken stick so you know the width of your front bumper or fenders. But it really is just another piece of chrome that you can hang lights on.

There should be a button near your mirror heat fluid gauge on dash that can raise it on KW & Pete's.  Volvo, button is closer to the blinker fluid gauge.

Really? People hate on these things too? I think they look awesome, and yea thats their real purpose. Nobody needs these to know where their bumper is. It's for looks. Bores Manufacturing makes these. Got a pair on my old pickup truck.
