@JacksonJinn

Ahhh, the sequel to Off With Their Heads feels like. The "Get off your ass and play the game instead of commentating and wasting your time" vibe. Really dig it.

@MintyPolaroid

Calli's one hell of a lyricist. She might seem rebellious at first, but in this bitter world, her ability to turn negative energy into positive ones is refreshing.

@johnnyd.1004

Getting majestically thrown to the opposite side of the internet and witnessing the numerical death of the universe was definitely worth how beautifully this turned out. I liked the transition from Japanese to English in the chorus, it felt really smooth in both languages. My favorite part, ever since UnAlive, has to be the dancing. That little touch just ties everything together so well.

@tiureiji

"Holy嫉妬" means Holy Envy, but can be read as "Holy Shitto". That's Calli for you.

@SilentSpirit671

"Envy is an energy, so bend it, send it, start your own way."
Shit's real

@RosemaryShinbuki

Holy Shito, new month and another Calli song. I respect that grind and just from the name I can tell it's a banger :_deadbeats:

@fspamss

There's a beautiful consistent energy and message to so many of mori's songs, the ever present undertone no matter how its delivered of "nothing is stopping you from doing what I'm doing, you can start at any moment." Mori has never had the energy of someone being beneath her, even in the mountaintop it's always been come join me, come take on this struggle, come rise to the challange the same way you see me do

@Crayon_Cannon

If Calli is all about that Holy Shitto, does that mean she really is an Angel? CMT was real all along! □

@TheEngieTF2

I really like Calli's choice of name she made for this song. An absolute banger with a great sense of humor it sounds. Not only that, it also has a deep meaning to it as well, since the the word "嫉妬" means "jealousy" in Japanese, and the lyrics of this song are actually talking about the subject of the title

@Just_Some_Guy_with_a_Mustache

The takeaway is that it is 100 percent Calliope Mori. The fact that it juggles being a self evaluation and a call out without being self-deprecating, obnoxiously aggressive, nor combative. It's an even-handed, sincere message that still promotes positive vibes, but reminding you "I'm not your punching bag". The wit, the humor, the heart, the sharpness. And the video gives it a down-to-Earth vibe being on a subway train. It's a climax from start to finish!

@TheEngieTF2

"Holy Shitake! It's Mori Calliope!" - Dead Beat right now

@lumski

UMG: Calli, no more swearing in your songs
Calli:

@Jeremy-it1ks

Hearing this live at the solo concert gives me completely different vibes holy.... This song wasn't my favorite before, but hearing it being performed by Mori herself changed my opinion. This is one of Mori's best rap/hip-hop songs. Definitely gives me that old school 80-90s vibes. I appreciate this song in a whole new light now.

@astuteanansi4935

I'm glad Calli hasn't given up on making songs like this. I know she was disheartened after Off With Their Heads was taken the wrong way, good to see she's still willing to do a little bit of roasting

@grimstnzborithbrisingr7296

I love that she's using her 3D model like this. It's absolutely dope and adds a more human element to it.

@Dongerbread

Honestly, because of Mera Mera and CapSule, I was going in expecting something much more pop, but the bars and flow really felt much more like hip-hop vibe, which I absolutely love and was very very pleasantly surprised with. Absolute Fire Mori, Love all the 3D movement too

@Eupator5

I know you've been grinding the voice lessons, but your rapping and songwriting certainly haven't fallen by the wayside. Very cool song, love the heavier rap emphasis, and the lyrics fully live up to your ambitions. I can tell Shinigami Note is going to be an amazing album. You the GOAT!

@superitgel1

She's getting even better. Her rap lyrics' getting more expressive and the transition between singing and rapping is so fluid.

@leoncoben6983

Twitter: Gets mad at Calli.
Calli: Thanks for the ideas.

@Yenrei

Here we are again. I love how you're always willing to extend a hand and some tough love to the Dead Beats. And you do it over such a dope beat, no less. Together with that seamless flow it's got a late 90s hip hop vibe that I'm absolutely weak for.

But back to the message. I remember when I first heard OWTH. Seeing the audience cheer for the streamer is commonplace, but I'd never known a streamer that cheered back. You even cheered for the haters too. I'm still full of inspiration from back then, and I'm proud to have gotten through school and into my desired field of work in the time between that song and this one. Here's to you, Calli, and to the next mountaintop. Yours, mine, everyone's. Let's all keep cheering for each other.
