I had been told by a Vietnamese friend that “if it moves, we eat it” and I had always dismissed it as hyperbole. I am now doubting myself lol
Murder hornet farmer , that’s a bad ass job title .
The larvae aren't trying to gnaw their way out. They're asking for food. This is how they signal they're hungry, which is pretty much constantly.
Give this man a Discovery channel contract. Great shots and personal interview. Loved being able to experience this rare piece of the world.
This (to me) is what YT is really all about. Getting to watch and soak up the adventure from mostly unseen places using minimal equipment to its best. Loved it, keep it going.
If you showed me this without any context on full screen I would've thought that this is a production from VICE or National Geographic, pretty neat content
This was fascinating and very respectful. The lack of added drama really makes the story come through.
"Im a farmer!" "Oh really? What do you farm? Goats? Pigs? Cows?" "Nah fam..."
I had no idea this wasn’t Vice or NatGeo until I read some of the comments. This was the epitome of professionalism. New sub.
16:13 that noise is the larva scraping its mandibles againt the combs to signal to the adult that they are hungry. Its really something out of a horror movie
Imagine a dystopian movie in which aliens give us a new planet to settle on, help us out to colonize it, and then drop by every so often and harvest us for a snack.
Engagement Engagement Engagement. I don't understand why you don't have more subscribers when your videos are so amazing.
The scratching sound you hear at 16:10 is the larva scraping their mandibles along the wall of their comb. This tells the adults "FEED ME!" and that's what drives the adult workers to go out and hunt to feed the larvae's insatiable desire for food.
Murder hornet: I am biggest of hornets, I have painfull sting, I act very agressive to any inturder near my hive, Even big animals fear me and i have word "MURDER" in my name Random vietnamese villager: CRUNCHING NOISES
That sound is the larva scraping their mandibles against the inside of the cell. They do this to let the adults know they need food.
Geez. That harvesting situation made my skin crawl. I can’t stand the thought of those hornets getting into your suit. My hats off to you sir. Bravo.
When i was younger i used to watch National Geographic and Discovery Channel. Let me say. I have watched few of Fraser's videos and so far this is very similar to the quality if not sometimes better than the quality of the documentaries of Discovery Channel. This man needs to have his own TV show. Well done !
Awesome, "You will eat Zee Bugs" WEF. Great footage & nerves of Steel.
Much respect to you man, I have been a huge fan of Sonny for years and you were always my favourite guest but you manage to produce content at his level while I assume you do all this and find content to film without the large team and support that Sonny has. Keep it up and wish you all the best. Thank you for all you do!
