Actual title: I tested 5 star chinese restaurants that had a few 1 star reviews in an extreme minority and shockingly these 5 star restaurants had good food

Idk if anyone actually looked, but all of the shown restaurants are good rated. All are rated above 4 Stars. He just took the few 1 star reviews and instantly called the Restaurants 1 Star rated. Just because there are some bad reviews, doesnt make the whole restaurant bad or 1 star. If this video was called debunking 1 Star reviews, there wouldnt be a problem. But calling absolutely fine 4 star rated restaurants bad (by calling them 1 star) and acting like being scared of the food while knowing its gonna be fine is a meh move tbh

fun fact I've learned at uni: a lot of Chinese restaurants often get the "B" ranking in the sanitary inspection grade because the BBQ duck (the one that hangs on the wall) violates the FDA food code (which would drop the ranking of what would've been an A to a B for that restuarant), however due to how the duck is prepared (I've forgotten the details but I think the fat or oil that coats the duck sort of protects it from any harmful bacteria) it's actually quite safe to eat.

If I pay$128 for a duck, they better wrap the rest up so I can pick the rest off the bones and make broth with it.

I live in Vietnam. Haidilao is my go to when I'm hungry at 2-3AM and wanting some hotpot. They are a bit expensive but their customer service is top tier. If you go alone they will put their big plushie mascot sit with you. A lot of free snacks when waiting for table and you can grab it anytime. They even have DJ set around 10PM on Saturday and Chinese mask changing dance performance around 7PM. You can ask server for a blanket when you cold, charging cable, help you mix the sauce etc. And with hotpot soup base you can order water and using sauce in sauce station put in the water to make your own soup base With the Pecking duck, They should make the rest of the duck to other dishes bone will go to soup/fried duck bone with salt, meat will go to fried rice/stir fried noodles. So with 1 duck you can get around 3-4 dishes. This $128 is not worth it

People forget that reviews are other peoples individual experience and not their own. If there were pictures involved and the restaurant changed, it means that those reviews worked. Improving from the past is not a busted review.

Thats a very common traditional way to serve the duck. You dont get all 100% of it, but there is also not a lot of meat left. Its mostly skin with thin portions of meat.

I usually go with reviews that are rated three or four stars. I've seen several videos where people were caught being paid to do reviews. The review good or bad depended on who hired them. I appreciate that you do this and in the way that you do it

For the Peking duck, it is very normal for them to serve it that way since Peking duck focuses on the crispy skin and the juicy meat just below the skin. However, most places I've been to would have it in a set menu where you get the peking duck a choice of using the leftover duck meat for fried rice or noodle. That fancy restaurant might not be scamming, but they are stingy imo

So glad you visited China MaMa. I’m born and raised in Vegas and it used to be a hole in the wall before it actually caught fire and burned down. They recently opened that location and it tastes even better. Surprised you got seated because that parking lot is usually all waiting in line!

as i figured. you picked places that are good with the odd 1 star review that you latch on to. For example China Mama has 4.4 stars on yelp which is pretty good in my opinion.
