Just posted a quick care guide for beginner quail owners if youโ€™re interested!๐Ÿ˜Š

P.S. Iโ€™m not saying chickens are bad, this is my personal opinion. In fact, I intend on having chickens one day๐Ÿ˜ thank you for any concern on my โ€œhatredโ€ of chickens, but I promise you I love chickens all the same! I will get some and name one of them โ€œButtersโ€. Thank you for the love guys; love you all๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ

I just lost my favorite quail. His name was Red. He was a male and thought he was the boss. He free ranged with the chickens. I could never do that with any others. He hopped up into my arms and I realized he was dying from old age. He was so smart.

@sheisofthewoods

They have cheap/special feeders for quail to stop you from wasting all that food/souring the ground with that wasted feed. Also, if you make a sand dust bath box they'll typically lay their eggs there and keep the eggs a lot cleaner ๐Ÿ˜Š

Mother: would you like eggs for breakfast, dear?
Son: yeah, 25 of them, please?

@Lilswamphag

I used to work for a telecommunications company and regularly would see wild quail around wherever my jobs took me. So, naturally, I purchased a quail call and would use it whenever I noticed them around. They would hop up onto any nearby object, answer my calls and spend several minutes watching me work. Made the dull grind of everyday work life brighter. ๐Ÿ˜Š

@BIGFeathersFarm

As a chicken YouTube channel, of course I advocate for chickens, but have also had quail which are great egg layers.

@paulchappelhymns

We had two button quail as pets, and loved them very, very much. Always dreamed of having more, but that wasn't possible. They are the most wonderful little creatures. Now I get to see them along the floor of butterfly enclosures and conservatories. Thank you, Sir!

@marmyeater

I remember having guineas as a kid. They didn't do anything other than keep the yard completely clear of ticks, but that's a very good reason to love them.

@ralucadudescu

Quails are lovely animals, so quiet and sweet!

@Heyblomharvest

Totally agree there are many benefits to having quail, but the personalities my chickens have are so special.. I breed both quail and chickens and love them both. If you have the space for chickens theyโ€™re truely wonderful!!! Quail are a great alternative for people with smaller properties and closer neighbours

@hehehemlem

I need to see more quail content ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘

@123jonhyboy

Beautiful green house and birds

@CigarMick

Interesting fact, the markings on a quail egg are like a fingerprint.
The female quail has a specific pattern on her eggs that is unique to her and her alone.

@Sbscreenwriter

Also when they run they're adorable. I grew up with wild quail in NorCal.

@LongueDuree

Thats a beautiful ๐Ÿ˜ greenhouse and I LOVE quail! I get to see them ever now and again in the wild around our house. They are crucially endangered but its good to see em makin a small comeback. They just dont live too long, do they

@AhJodie

Thank you for sharing how wonderful they are, and their home looks fabulous too!

@lindboknifeandtool

We had some that lived in a thicket righ outside our kitchen window. Weโ€™d feed them. Their babies were so cute. The quail with the little floppy feather on its head, and lots of mourning doves

@tacofry4768

I remember when I had quails, brought grown 2 males and 2 females. Put down some fine meshing thinking 'itll be alright', couldn't barely fit the tip of my pinky in the square. Came home after some hatched and found them scattered like MnMs in the yard ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…
Learnt real quick I needed some finer mesh hahaha

@frablucka4447

Goldie "leave my eggs alone" lol ๐Ÿ˜œ
