As a owner of a 2024 GV80 2.5T Prestige, I can appreciate this review. Great job Genesis! š
Just the dashboard piece alone is A+++. Excellent job Genesis!
I bought a 24 GV80 leftover a month ago in the base (advanced) package with the third row seats. I will infrequently use them, only for Grandkids. What really attracted us to this particular vehicle is that it came with factory installed hitch. The hitch is integrated in the rear and doesn't look like a U Haul bolt on. A bonus, the factory included a receiver, 7 pin connector and 2" ball. This GV80 is the perfect multi-functional luxury car. We owned the BMW & MB vehicles in the past and this vehicle exceeds our expectations. We replaced a 2017 Traverse Premier 7 passenger and the GV80 is shorter, easier to park. A comment on the ride. The base model has 20 " rims instead of 22". We test drove the Premier version and it definitely had a harsher ride. The extra rubber between the road and the rim makes some kind of difference. My suspicion is the US only Model with its 3.5 Turbo (Diesel at home), 22" rims are add-ons after the base design was set for the home market . Totally recommend it.
Genesis is the new blood, that interior is awesome. Love my g70
I have one and I can honestly say this review is right on. The suspension could use some tweaking but that being said this suv is heavy and solid and this is why I think tiger woods survived a rollover in this vehicle.
I own a 2018 G80 Sport Sedan and love it. It has the 6-cylinder twin turbo and all-wheel drive. It has never been in the shop except for routine maintenance and two recalls. The last time I was at the dealer for an oil change and looked at the GV80. Beautiful. No 3rd row in stock and none on allocation. Why? Answer was that they are just not that popular an option. In terms of suspension, my G80 and I believe the GV80 both have adaptive dampers. That works for me, maybe not as well as an air suspension to absorb road imperfections, but more reliable and less costly to fix long term. Having said that, I am an engineer and car enthusiast but not a mechanic. I really enjoy this channel and unique perspectives on new cars!
As a Genesis GV70 owner with the 3.5T Iām so happy to finally see your review this engine and platform. Iām very happy with this purchase coming from being a long time Nissan/Infiniti and Toyota/Lexus owner. Itās good to see hear your thoughts and reviews. Genesis has done a very good job and Iām looking forward to many happy years of service.
i bought a 25 GV 80 for my wife. We both are enjoying the car very much.
I own the sedan version of this car (G80) and I absolutely love it. Genesis is bringing their A game with these vehicles.
This is a really honest and fair review...well done.
For me, this is THE BEST looking SUV on the road...in ANY price point. I think it even looks better than a Bentley, as crazy as that sounds.
I canāt wait for you to get your hands on the 2026 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid and give us your mechanicās review on it!
Just found your channel. This video is absolutely amazing. Please make a video just like this about every new car and eventually be used cars. I would appreciate a little more attention on the mechanics of the car. Maybe make some predictions on maintenance cost based on what you see on the construction build. Stuff like that. Liked, shared and subscribed. Regarding no 3rd row, love that. People these days don't have 3 kids but we do need to lug shlt around and if i can save weight and fuel, gain a little cubby, interior passenger space and atleast as same or more hauling space... much preferred! Think I'm the only one that applauds the cx70 for this
Would be nice to have price range mentioned consistently in these videos as well as MSRP for the one shown.
I had one for 9 months. In that time it threw 5 engine lights requiring that I drive 2 hrs to the closest Genesis dealership. My husband said this car is not reliable! Genesis is buying it back with a fair price. I hope others do not have this issue in their 25 3.5 Prestige GV80.
The deliberate lack of a 3rd row is exactly what makes this so appealing to me. I dislike undersized 3-row SUVs. They always feel like a major compromise and not luxurious.
You are right, this is why I waited several months, for this interior. I am very satisfied with my caršššā¤ would buy itagain
We own a 2025 GV 80 Prestige and love it! I do have to admit though, 4 months in, there's still a lot to learn.
Imagine if Lexus did this⦠theyād be a world class Asian luxury brand now Genesis understands
