Glad to see you put halo CE in the top 5. People don't give it enough credit because it's the oldest one, but it started it all. And I totally agree that it aged like a fine wine. Because it's the original there are quality of life and other improvements missing in subsequent games, but if you play it with the mindset of "this was the original" it holds up well 20+ years later

I would put Battlefield 3 ahead of BC2, it was much more successful overall, improved a lot of the unpolished jankyness of BC2, was the first entry in the series to see mainstream popularity, and it had a perfect mix of infantry combat and vehicle gameplay. I don't care about suppression, it was a great game, no Battlefield game has felt as fun to play since

What a solid list !! But you should have named it top revolutionary fps because of how you ordered them based on how they influenced the fps genre and not based on the fun and quality factor (eg HL2 in better than HL1 but HL1 definitely more influential)

Team fortress 2 should at least be in the top 10, it’s a monolith of gaming and one of the most influential games of all time. Not to mention how much depth there is in some of the movement mechanics. Rocket jumping alone is one of the greatest ways to move around in a video game.

Valve in their prime has one of the greatest minds and creativity as a game developer, the shitloads of masterpieces valve is just amazing. Half life, cs, and team fortress 2 revolutionised the gaming industry.

Halo 1, 2 & 3. Any day. I loved HL & HL 2 as a kid, great games, but they hold no emotional value to me for some reason. The Halo trilogy was special. Halo 3 being the pinnacle of FPS for me. If Halo 2&3 were made for PC as well, their popularity would've probably rivaled that of the GTA games.
