@LesPaulMan1959

Its older but i still have a TON of fun in Rising Storm 2: Vietnam

@5hane9ro

Imma buy Arma reformer soon, but I'm happy to see these type of games blowing up. We need that return to gritty military shooters. I'm currently loving Hell Let Loose & Insurgency Sandstorm!

@luger700

Squad and Squad 44 are at the top of my list. Tons of content, insane audio, great visual FX, still being actively supported with FREE updates.

@AJ-tb5ho

Reforger is the most fun ive had in gaming in years. Incredible game.

@ghozter1

Insurgency: Sandstorm definitely hits the spot for me. I'm not patient enough for full blown milsims and that game is right in between. Maps as Level said are smaller, but the core gameplay and more so gunplay remains fairly realistic. It recently got crossplay as well which makes finding matches quite fast :)

@SGTMotitaz

Glad you mentioned project reality. Believe it or not it still gets updated. I play it every day still. Something about that game just pulls me back in all the time. Plus it's free to play. It shows you the basics of how to do team work in a battalion level. I learned how to paint targets with lasers for CAS in that game. And 24 years later am teaching the new players how to do the same and sit back and watch the fireworks. Project reality was a right of passage for old milsim players. So many memorable youtubers came out of there.

@MrDakotaThunder

Hell Let Loose is eating my brain currently! It's just SO good and immersive! The graphics, the leveling, the maps, the communication, the vehicles and gunplay and core gameplay concepts are insanely fun and addicting!

@Choom415

Hell Let Loose is the game ive played the most off this list. and pretty much my first milsim ive ever got into. its a blast.

@DJSupaMonkey

Highly recommend Insurgency Sandstorm, I've put so many hours in the PvE because there's just nothing really like it right now. I don't think I've encountered a single cheater in that game. As a person who is now in their mid twenties, I'm starting to gravitate towards games that respect my time and wallet. Insurgency is certainly on that list.

@ARBCOOL07

I haven’t played Sandstorm in a while but I absolutely recommend for any newcomer to these type of games. Definitely the most accessible one on this list.

@hanyolo2041

Insurgency Sandstorm has hands down the most fun PvE game modes

@andrefreeman7025

It is worth mentioning the Red Orchestra/Rising Storm and Verdun/Tannenberg/Isonzo

@CheddaDawg21

Man I hope this genre keeps blowing up… been waiting on console for years

@Louieboi9488

Arma Reforger is one of the best games I’ve played in a long time. After work, I love relaxing and playing it with my buddies. It helps me forget about life’s stresses, truly one of the best games out there.

@Decemburrrrrr

I still love RS2: Vietnam. It was my introduction to the genre a few years and I still go back to play.

@CAPDCJR

I would love for a game like Insurgency Sandstorm with bigger maps and like a 50 vs 50 pvp

@lilfuzzballa

Squad is my #1 milsim (milsim-lite?)

It's the perfect game for someone that enjoys the older Battlefield games, but just wants something more thoughtful, strategic, deeper, while still retaining those epic moments, immersion, and sound design, and teamwork that BF always "tries" to encourage.

Really looking forward to what OWI is cooking up. French faction and German faction seem to be on the horizon. The transition to UE5 (slightly nervous) offering dynamic weather, day time change, better vehicle physics, and graphics.

And of course them adding in Anti-air MANPADs (portable shoulder fired AA), along with aircraft countermeasures.

@lLooN3y

COD and BF going down hill really paved the way. Especially Arma as an operation flashpoint guy from day 1 as a kid. TBH Arma looked like it was gonna die with the player count of arma 3 and the initial player count of reforger. Glad to see it thrive.

@TheDShow

Good job for mentioning Operation Harsh Doorstop. Great project!

@anonymoustrader-666

Been waiting for a Video Like this for years
