人物简介：

张信(Zhang Xin, 1984 年出国留学,xzhang@iupui.edu):1977 年通过全国高考,入华东师范
大学历史系。1984 年来美,在美国新墨西哥大学任教一年,随后进入芝加哥大学研究生院,
主修中国历史和世界历史,分别获硕士和博士学位。1991 年入职美国加州洛约拉玛丽蒙特大
学,从事教学两年,然后转入美国印第安纳大学印第安纳波利斯校区任教至今。现任该校历史
系终身教授(正教授),讲授中国史、全球史和亚洲史。中英文专著包括:Social Transformation
in Modern China: The State and Local Elites in Henan (由英国剑桥大学出版社于 2000 年出版);
《二十世纪初期中国社会之演变》(由中华书局于 2004 年出版); 以及 The Global in the Local: A
Century of War, Commerce, and Technology in China (由美国哈佛大学出版社于 2023 年出版)。
