2024 Chevrolet Traverse Start up

Ever since we first saw the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse at the 2023 Detroit Auto Show, I knew Chevy had a hit on their hands. The boxier styling made this crossover look more rugged and capable, and the addition of a Z71 trim adds to that allure.

This RS model leans more into the sleek and sporty vibe, with black and red accents everywhere along with large 22-inch wheels, this Traverse makes a statement when it shows up. While competitors like the Toyota Grand Highlander play it a little safer, the Traverse is bold in all that it does.

Gone is the 3.6L V6, replaced by a 2.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder, which provides more power than the outgoing engine, even if it is a bit more noisy under hard acceleration. It all adds up to a package that is worth a look versus options like the Grand Highlander, Honda's Pilot, and Hyundai's new Santa Fe.
