Can You Crush A Can With Air?

In this experiment I placed a small amount of liquid water at the bottom of an aluminum can. I then heated the can to boil the water which causes the can to fill with steam. Finally, I use tongs to flip the can and place it in a tub filled with cold water. After a second or so, the steam condenses back to liquid water leaving a vacuum in the can. Air pressure then implodes the can with a force of over 300lbs!
