Urban Kayaking | Exploring a Controversial Abandoned Power Plant in Yonkers

Join me on what is quite possibly my favorite exploration to date! I kayaked to and explored the Glenwood Power Station which is also commonly referred to as the "Gates of Hell". This power plant sitting along the Hudson River has been left abandoned since 1968. Since that time it has been rumored to be a location where nefarious activity takes place, thus its nickname, but to me it is another incredible piece of history left behind to enjoy.
